This test method uses an oxygen pressured bomb to evaluate the oxidation stability of new and in service turbine oils having the same composition (base stock and additives) in the presence of water and a copper catalyst coil at 150°C or according to the selected standards.

NECESSARY ACCESSORIES:


  • Catalyst copper coil (ready to use)
  • Pressure recorder (one per test vessel)
  • Oxidation vessel, stainless steel
  • Sample container, made of borosilicate glass, without cover
  • Teflon cover for glass sample container
  • Teflon disc to be placed under sample container

ASTM thermometer (96 C), range from +120 to +150°C in 0.1°C

DIGITAL RECORDER:


  • Digital pressure recorder (1 per vessel
  • Acquisition software
  • SD memory stick
  • Memory stick reader
