• The Aqueous variant is formulated after Neville Farmer former Section Head of Dorevitch Pathology (personal communication), while the Alcoholic variant is that of the RMIT Histology Manual Ed Blake 1976.
• Intended use is for Haematoxylin and Eosin Stained sections, but may also be used as a counterstain for seminal smears in Microbiology.
• QA assessment is based upon a progressive Mayers or Gill II Haematoxylin and Eosin (Either working solution) as per the testing method of the Biological Stain Commission p.430 &436-7 8th Ed.
