• Formulated acc. to Kinyoun, J.J.Amer. J. Public Health 5:867. 1915.

• Solution contains the same ingredients as Ziehl Neelsen but has four times the strength of Basic Fuchsin and twice the content of Phenol, producing a solution that is so saturated that within a period of a few months has approximately the same concentration levels Neelsen's, but these will continue to slowly drop over the next twelve months. The dark caked deposit that forms on storage results in a loss of dye content and avidity which cannot always be re-dissolved upon heating. Has a short shelf life of only one year, because of this product is only formulated upon demand to ensure the longest possible shelf life for the client and maximum reliability.

• Used mainly for Cold Crypto methods in micro and for M.Ulcerans in paraffin sections in Histology.

• Staff avoid preparing it for reason stated for Conc.Carbon Fuchsin.
