• Available in 500ml, 1litre and 2.5 litre pks.

• Also known as Gram's Crystal Violet (Gram's formula) Formulated as a 0.5% Aq. solution with 10% ethanol as a preservative. Recipe does not meet Certification Testing Standards of the Biological Stain Commission 8th Ed. see p.246-247.

• Only considered satisfactory for thin microbiology smears. Not suitable for use in Histology or paraffing sections. Users should only purchase container size base on how much they can use in 2-3 weeks, as the formula is prone to deveoping precipitate if incorrectly stored after opening or if housekeeping is poor especially in staining or reagent containers. Periodic filtration may be required.

• Shelf life of unopened product is two years and is final filtered down to 1 micron particle size (c/w Whatmans no.1 with partical size range of 7-11 microns.

• QA performance is assessed on a mixed organsim smear.
