XYClone is used to cleanly, quickly and easily open the zona pellucida and oolemma, the XYClone delivers a highly focused laser beam to the targeted membrane area resulting in precise and instantaneous ablation. By using the XYClone to breach the membrane, a blunt pipette may be utilized for micro-injection and excision techniques, minimizing physical damage to the cell and reducing cell lysis, which ultimately leads to higher yields.

An invaluable tool for the researcher which reliably, quickly, and cleanly opens the zona for stem cell excision from blastocysts, nuclear transfer, and ICSI. Also, since no mercury is required, the entire process is safer, for both you and the embryo.

Simply turn on the XYClone and you are ready to go! No warm-up time is needed.

Unlike piezo drills, the XYClone is "non-contact" and requires no special needles or pipettes. So not only can you achieve your results quickly and reliably, but you also save money.

Hands-Free Laser Firing

When working with micromanipulators, the XYClone allows you to work in "hands-free" mode by using the optional foot switch to fire the laser. Simply use the manipulators to position the embryo to the target and press the foot switch to fire the laser. Your micromanipulation proceeds rapidly and the time the embryo spends on the microscope stage is minimizes. Also, the laser may be fired as many times as required to complete the process, without need of reactivating the laser.

The extremely compact laser unit (just 42mm x 28mm x 54mm) installs directly on turret, leaving both the fluorescence and filter cube ports free for normal use (no removal of components required), and no interference with normal microscope usage.

Video Record And Playback

For presentation, archiving, and teaching purposes, the ability to store video of XYClone procedures is invaluable. The simple one touch record and stop controls are easy to use. Video files may be named automatically or manually. Videos up to 1000 seconds may be recorded, and you can select to further limit the length of videos to help preserve disk space.

Double Laser Mode

The double laser mode allows the user to pre-configure two separate laser power and pulse settings, both accessible from the same control panel. This feature is perfect for those applications that require two levels of laser pulses.
